The Vuassa di papà Marcel rediscovers the traditional steam distillation processes and the use of aromatic herbs in grappa (a kind of brandy).
Its name comes from the tavern of Papà Marcel, situated in the old town centre of Aosta, a real symbol of joy and mountain festiveness. This was the passage of whole generations of members of the Alpine Troops to drink grappa and genépi in the traditional friendship cups.
Long ago there were many people who in autumn and part of winter used to apply themselves to the picking of juniper stalks in order to prepare them in different ways and then employ it as real medicines, which had different uses of tried effectiveness.
Today, just like long ago, in the Vuassa di Papà Marcel you will find... grappa and nature.
